Fun Fridays – This Friday is “Anything but a backpack day”! Students are encouraged to leave their backpacks at home and bring their school supplies in a different type of container. This is a day to encourage students to promote environmental awareness and reduce the amount of waste produced by disposable backpacks. It also allows students to express their creativity and individuality by choosing a unique way to carry their school supplies. Some fun ideas:

• Pillow cases
• Tote bag
• Guitar case
• Tool box
• Trash Bag

Please be creative, but smart with your choice. You will need to carry this all day, and it needs to fit in your classroom without disruption. Your choice needs to follow the schools code of conduct, nothing associated with weapons, violence, drugs, alcohol, racism, homophobia, or sexism will be tolerated.

Holiday Fundraiser – CHSS is organizing a Holiday Gift Card Fundraiser from December 11-17th to support families over the Holidays. Please consider donating through School Cash Online, or by bringing gift cards to the office before Friday the 15th to support our school community. Thanks Huskies!

Holiday Lunch – Next Wednesday, December 20th will be the CHSS Holiday lunch. Tickets are $5 and students can buy them in their period 2 classes. Lunch includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, Christmas pudding, cookies and drinks. Tickets are on sale until Wednesday the 20th.
