Ways to Communicate with our families

Parents and Guardians of Elora Public School Students;

 

It is our goal to be able to communicate with families as effectively as possible throughout the year. This is especially true during times where urgent information needs to be shared, such as inclement weather days, or cancelations.

 

Our best method of communication at this time is our school website https://www.ugdsb.ca/elora/  or by subscribing to email notifications. The link to do this is at the bottom of our home page. Once you have subscribed, you will receive emails from the school when important information needs to go out to families.

 

Another important tool to have to stay connected, is the Upper Grand District School Board App. The link to finding this app is also at the bottom of our homepage on our school website. You will have to download this app on your mobile device. You must follow our school by going to the Gear Symbol (Settings) on the app and then select our school. This tool will allow you to follow multiple schools if you have children in other schools in our board. This app will give you links to Transportation Cancelations, School Cash Online, School Messenger, School Calendar and more. This app is about to be rebranded as UG Connect, by the Upper Grand District School Board. Once we have more information on this, we will send it to all of our families. If there is a message, you will see a notification in your Notifications Center.

 

Lastly, we will use a different School Messenger system to send out voice messages for emergencies. This will come directly to the phone that you have registered with the school.

 

Please sign up for these services so that we can ensure we are reaching as many people as possible with important information.
