Update from Elora Staff!!

Posted April 1, 2020

Hello Families!

We miss everyone so much!   I hope that the upcoming connections with teachers will help to build some additional routines back in to your days.

Homeroom teachers are reaching out this week to all families.    Our plan is to have distance learning starting by this Monday, April 6th.  This will be a new experience for families and staff………but we are looking forward to getting started!  Please email the school address at the end of Friday if you have not heard from anyone.

All year-end trips are cancelled. This would include the grade 8 Ottawa trip.

Families will be awaiting refunds for this trip and for some other items including milk and pizza.   The Board is working with us to look after one school at a time in terms of refunds via schoolcashonline.   I will let you know when it is our turn.  In terms of payments that happened via cash and cheque, please wait for the plan on this.

We have a new teacher for the homeroom 8C.  Mr. Bill Jewitt has joined us (again).   Mr. Jewitt was teaching grade 7 language until Mrs. Miller’s return.   He will be teaching all grade 8 math and 7D math.

Stay safe and take care!  Again, don’t hesitate to reach out through the school email address.  I will return those messages as soon as possible.

Mr. McQueen
