Elora P.S. Remembers Those Lives Lost at Kamloops

Posted June 18, 2021

We at Elora PS would like to acknowledge and honour the precious children found buried at Kamloops Residential School. When picking up your child’s belongings, please stop by the front of the school to pick up the materials to make a simple birdfeeder.
Inside the small paper bag, you will find an orange pipe cleaner, cereal, and an orange ribbon. Form the pipe cleaner into a heart, string on the cereal, and then use the ribbon to attach to a tree at the front of your home.
Although just a small gesture, together as a community, we can show our support for the First Nation, Metis, and Inuit peoples.
Please feel free to take more than one kit if you would like to hang another feeder on a neighbour or grandparent’s tree.
