3) Principal’s report
- Another big thank you to our council for your help with fruit days. Kids seem to be loving This!
- UGDSB LONG TERM ACCOMMODATION PLAN (LTAP)
At the May 9, 2023, Board Meeting, Trustees received the, “Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) Draft Report.”
The LTAP is a planning document that discusses school facilities,population projections, and enrollment projections. The LTAP is used to help guide Capital
Investment, Program and Facility decisions that support the Upper Grand District School Board’s Vision and Multi-Year Plan. The goal of this LTAP is to produce a list of priority areas for the Board to concentrate on in the short and long term. The Board welcomes your feedback on this process.

The parent advisory council will review the documentation provided and provide input to the Principal at council meetings.
- Items requesting to be approved for end of school year:
- Math Up Independent workbooks for students
- Jo Boeler’s Math Up program.
- $16 student workbooks – $1600.00 approximate cost
- Would create a more cohesive, strategic approach to math instruction that builds from year to year
Motion: To allocate funding fo $1600.00 from fundraising fund to teaching resources fund in order to pay for the to math books

- Dawn to look into previous SEA Claim for the swing submitted by Mr Tribe
4) Finance discussion
Update on funds raised
- Chicken dinner (approximately $4400.00 profit)
- Candle fundraiser funds (385.00 total profit)
- Discussion on allocation of leftover funds – approximately 4000 to spend
-math workbooks requested ($16/book) – approved
-accessible swing (approximately $5k)- not approved as possible SEA claim already submitted
-end/start of year needs
Fundraising Allocation: It was discussed and consensus was reached that $400.00 from the fundraising fund would be allocated to playground supplies (basketballs, kindie toys, etc.),
It was discussed that consensus was reached that $2000.00 would remain in the fundraising fund in order to be used in September for any start up needs and then allocated into the new categories.
A discussion of these two items were had and consensus was reached for each.

The council reviewed the operating budget for 2023-2024. The council discussed reducing the number of categories for which funds could be allocated. A motion was made to consolidate the categories and consensus was made on the following:
Apparel (remove)
Classroom / Teacher /School Needs (amend)
Community Events (remove)
Fundraising (keep)
Outdoor Classroom (remove)
Outdoor Fund (amend) from Playground
Technology Fund (remove)
Cassie will consult with Simone to make these changes.
4) Bus discussion (deferred from May meeting)
- New bus driver added to our routes, 272
5) Council election process and bylaw discussion
The council is currently in the process of researching and creating bylaws for the 2023-2024 academic year. These will be reviewed over the summer and finalized in September. The council also reviewed the nominations for the council roles and all moved forward with an election for the 2023-2024 academic year.

All in consensus of nominations. Nominations were approved.

7) Set September EPSAC meeting date – Tuesday September 12th @7:00pm
- Finalize bylaws for next year
- Plan for open house
- Plan to set up welcome booth to encourage others to join parent council
8) Set September open house date – Wednesday September 27th @7:00pm
