Minto-Clifford students come from the communities of Harriston, Clifford and the broader Town of Minto. In addition to our regular stream classrooms, we also have a self-contained special education classroom for students with developmental delays. Services of a Child and Youth Counselor are available to assist students who are experiencing social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
This facility was built in 1965. Bright classrooms, combined with our Library Learning Commons, provide an excellent learning environment for our students. The large yard includes space for children to play (i.e., baseball diamonds, soccer field, creative playground, foot hockey nets, tetherball poles, basketball hoops and ‘threeways’, large tarmac with painted games). A large renovation and addition project in 2008/2009 added classrooms and a new gym. The environmental classroom pack will enable students to show other students and schools how to conserve energy.
Minto-Clifford has an enthusiastic and talented staff and we welcome parent volunteers. The school is actively involved in local events and is supported by our School Council and community organizations. We believe that through working together with home, school and community we can provide each student with the opportunity to achieve academic success and meet the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum.
As partners in our educational community, we will provide the skills, knowledge and opportunities that students need to pursue lifelong learning. Together, through effective teaching, we will nurture individual potential to ensure success for all.
