Principal's MessageGood morning Paisley families,

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Stacy Roberts-Munn, who is joining the Paisley Panther Team as our new Assistant Office Assistant. You will see Stacy in the office, assisting Gayle Erskine. Please give Stacy a friendly and enthusiastic welcome!

Booster Juice

A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the families actively involved in the Booster Juice fundraiser! Your enthusiastic response has been commendable. To streamline the ordering process, we strongly recommend utilizing the online method for placing your orders here.

It’s important to note that in accordance with school protocol, we do not facilitate cash transactions on-site. For those families opting to submit orders with cash enclosed in envelopes, kindly be aware that Booster Juice will be responsible for collecting the envelopes from the school and managing the associated cash transactions. Please be advised that this process is external to the school and not administered by us.

Inclement Weather Procedures

With the frigid temperatures, we are receiving questions from families about the board’s procedures around inclement weather and extreme cold temperatures. A reminder that there is information about extreme cold on the UGDSB website and can also be accessed here.

Job Opportunity: Full-Time Lunchroom Supervisor Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Lunchroom Supervisor. This position involves supervising students during both nutrition breaks (10:25-11:10 and 12:50-1:35) and ensuring their safety and well-being while outdoors during recess.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Nutrition Break Supervision: Monitor students during nutrition breaks, ensuring a safe and orderly environment within the lunchroom.
  2. Recess Supervision: Oversee students during outdoor recess activities, promoting positive interactions and ensuring compliance with school rules.

To express your interest or for more information, please let either Mrs. McCann or Ms. Anderson know.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to become a valuable part of our school community.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

We kindly emphasize to families that the designated driving lane in front of the school is exclusively reserved for buses and school transportation vehicles. This is especially crucial during the periods of 8:30 to 9:15 am, before the commencement of the school day, and from 3:00 to 3:45 pm. This measure is implemented to ensure the efficient and secure drop-off of our students and prioritize their safety. Your cooperation in adhering to this guideline is greatly appreciated.

Dogs on School Property during School Hours

Walking your children and dog to school is not just great exercise, it can also be a great bonding experience for families. However, over the years the UGDSB has received school inquiries regarding families bringing dogs onto school property when dropping off or picking up children. The Board does not have a written policy in respect of dogs on school property, except of course, regarding Therapy Dogs (Protocol #13) or Service Dogs (Policy #517). As a reminder to parents, dogs must be on a leash and kept on the sidewalk off school property. This is the expectation for all parents/families.
