Important Update from Public Health

Dear Parents / Guardians,
As you are aware, over this past weekend, the school was notified that an individual at Princess Margaret PS tested positive for COVID-19.
I am pleased to report that the Associate Medical Officer of Health for Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health has declared the COVID-19 case as resolved at our school based on the Ministry of Health guidelines.
While this particular situation is resolved, I would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone that COVID-19 is circulating in the province and in communities. Daily self-screening is a critical step in helping to identify and restrict the spread of COVID-19 in the community. Please continue to monitor your child for symptoms of COVID-19 and if they do exhibit symptoms, immediately isolate them from others and make an appointment with an assessment centre for testing. The screening tool can be found at: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/. Please use this tool every day before sending your child to school and on the bus.
I want to thank parents/guardians, staff and students, as well as Public Health, for their cooperation and care as we have worked together to communicate and keep everyone safe during this time.
