Principal’s Message – November 7, 2022

Posted November 7, 2022

As most of you likely know already, we will NOT be pivoting to remote learning this week.  Our school will be open for in-person learning.  We are pleased to welcome back our custodial team who we have missed these last few days.

News from School Council:

Our School Council is hard at work planning our Winter Fest celebration, for Saturday, December 10th from 10am to 2pm.  Check out the Facebook Page to find out more.

Also from School Council, Food Days are coming.  Be on the lookout for a notification from School Cash Online (www.schoolcashonline.com).  The second round of pizza, the first round of pitas and smoothies, and the first round of Lunches Made Easy should be coming to your inbox this week.  If you are not enrolled to School Cash yet, click the link and set up your account.

From our Intermediate Students:

This week our Intermediates launched a fundraiser, Recipes in a Jar, that will go towards trips and graduation. Anyone is welcome to participate.  Here is a short explanation:

Recipes in a Jar runs until Thursday, November 24th.  Orders can be placed online through spenceravenue.recipesinajar.ca or by ordering directly through an Intermediate student.  If more than 6 jars are ordered, it is free delivery right to your home, but otherwise orders will come directly to the school with lots of time before the holiday break.

Our Intermediate team chose this fundraiser because of several reasons, including the healthy variety of snacks and meals offered, the mission of the company to help offer work opportunities to those that need it, and the ability we will have to donate back to our community as one meal is donated for every jar sold.
