June News!

From the Office

Hey families! Wow! It is hard to believe that June is upon us and we have had an almost normal Spring of learning and school attendance. With COVID restrictions loosening, we have been able to start doing some things that we have not been able to do for the past 2 years! Thank you for continuing to monitor your child for COVID symptoms and continuing to complete daily screening! Masks continue to be strongly recommended as we see declining COVID cases.

There are many exciting things happening this month! We will continue to report on events that will be winding down the school year and information to get ready for September!

June, of course is Pride Month and classes will be engaged in PRIDE activities as we continue to work toward our Equity commitments and living our motto of TOGETHER: Empathy, Effort and Excellence!

Ask your child what their commitment is!

June is also National Indigenous History Month!

Check the Taylor Evans Calendar for upcoming events! We have junior students doing workshops with Focus on Nature! We are adding to our Greening spaces with help from Trees for Guelph and getting the students involved in increasing our green spaces and environment!

Please take advantage and have your say for the Board’s Multiyear plan.

Thanks to a generous donation of prizes from Sportchek in Stone Road Mall, the aforementioned winners will receive gift certificates!

Our school will be very busy over the summer as the Board makes improvements both inside and outside!
