·         Great Moments in Teaching – Fantastic Lunar New Year celebration, Black Brilliance, Black Futures, highlighting diversity and varied ethnicities in school

·         Ramadan coming up, a prayer space is set up in the former lunchroom

·         Snack program is running well, the extra fridge is on the way

·         Food and friends program also providing some support for families identified as having difficulty affording groceries

·         Donations were good – between $1500 – 1900 in total

·         Prizes are in Mr. Lindsay’s office

·         20 classroom gnomes – give one to each class, let the teacher hand out to the student picked

·         Other prizes can be picked up by students in the office

·         Need some volunteers for clean up

·         Amber will connect with Mrs Zamora regarding how much popcorn to order – expect up to 200 people

·         An idea was put forward regarding offering pizza, but limited interest so not running this time

·         Ken suggested asking intermediate students to sell popcorn

·         Amber has food trucks booked

·         Volunteers are needed to run the event. Request for volunteers given and Carly will reach out to volunteer list

·         Ken noted that classroom ELMO data projectors are starting to breakdown and need to be replaced – $400 a piece, ideally 3 or 4 could be funded

·         Need to order spoons from teacher wishlist for kids snacks – Council voted in favour of purchasing reusable spoons for snack program.
