Welcome to Kindergarten – a message from our FDK teaching staff
Hi there Kindie parents/caregivers,
We are currently working on providing Kindergarten homeroom teachers with email addresses to email parents/caregivers directly. You should receive an email from your child’s Kindie classroom teacher by Friday, September 1st, 2023.
In the mean time, here are some resources the team would like you to see before the first day of school:

Welcome Back!
We’re excited to begin a new school year! School begins for students on Tuesday, September 5th at 8:50 a.m. Supervision in the fenced Kindergarten area will begin at 8:30 a.m. Please bring your child to the gate, as usual, and he/she will go to the same classroom area as last year.
Please be aware that class placements are tentative at this time, and could possibly change due to high Kindergarten enrollment numbers. There won’t be a staggered entry period for the incoming JK children, so you might like to prepare your child by telling him/her that their old friends from last year will be there, along with all of our new JK friends who have not been to school before. Encourage your child to reflect on how he/she felt starting school last year, to remember the fun that we had, and tell them that they are the ‘big kids’ now. The Educators will be looking to our SKs for leadership to help our new friends know what to do in the classroom at the coat hooks, play centres, lunch time, etc. We know that they will be a great help! We also know that some of our SKs will be a little anxious, too. We’ll have lots of TLC to spread around!
