Principal’s Message for November

Posted October 29, 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Happy Halloween! Happy Diwali!

We hope you had an amazing month of October and are enjoying the wonderful fall season filled with amazing colours and images.

We took the opportunity recently to recognize Orange shirt day and the work that lies ahead in recognizing the truth from the past with residential schools and the commitment to the reconciliation process. Students listened and shared messages on this theme at our recent WOW assembly.

The month of November is anti-bullying month. We will start the discussion on this topic at our assembly on Oct.31st at 9:00 am. Furthermore, bullying prevention week will occur between Nov.19-22. A number of activities have been planned for the students to help engage them on the topic of kindness and caring; with the goal of reducing bullying.

This month we will be sending home progress reports and inviting all families to engage in parent/teacher interviews. This report is simply a progress report, however, it does provide you with an important update on how your child is currently progressing in theirĀ  classroom. Please take the opportunity to connect with the classroom teacher to further discuss and understand how your child is doing.

Have a wonderful month, and please feel free to reach out to me personally if you have any questions or concerns about our school.

Sincerely,

Mr. S. Viveiros
