Principal’s Message – March 2020

Posted March 2, 2020

March

Hello Willow families,

It seems that we have sent a number of emails and/or phone calls in the past few months to keep you updated with labour issues and the impacts it may be having on our school. As I mentioned in previous correspondence, we continue to move forward and remain positive that agreements will be reached and that we will be back to full functionality soon. That being said, staff continues to work diligently to provide your child the best learning opportunities in the classroom. Furthermore, efforts to support our most at risk students and their well-being continues to be a priority. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please reach out to their teacher or the office for support.

With the increase in temperatures this week, we are reminded that Spring is soon upon us. This is an exciting time as we look to the final term of 2019/20 and start to plan for next year.  A number of meetings and discussions have taken place that support students who are leaving Willow and going on to high school or other programs within our school board. We will look at continuing this transitional practice for students remaining at Willow later in the school year.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about our school, please feel free to connect with me personally.

Thanks,

Mr. S. Viveiros
