November 11 2020 Remembrance Day Outdoor Assembly
November 11 2020 was a bright and sunny day. The wind was blowing and the sound of the bagpipes flowing across the field at Willow Road P.S. stirred emotions and patriotic thoughts. Students entered our meeting place with quiet solemnity and waited patiently for the wreaths to be set in their place. Mr Rane and students from 7A led us in singing O’Canada using our voices and American Sign Language. The sunshine, Meeting Place and the large circle of staff and students symbolized our connections as a school, a bright future and a remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives and dreams so we might live in peace and freedom. We shall never forget.
