Advanced Placement (AP) exams have been offered at Centennial C.V.I. for over 20 years in a variety of disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, art, history, economics, english literature, and french language.  There is a $135 fee to write each Advanced Placement exam.  When a student is successful with an AP exam (receiving a score of 4 or 5), they will receive advanced placement or transfer credits at most Canadian and U.S. universities.
Centennial has AP courses that help students prepare for the rigors of the Advanced Placement exams.  These courses will include all the same course materials as the regular grade 12 course, but will cover extra topics and classes will be taught in an accelerated format.  In May of the school year when the student takes the AP course, the student will then write an exam prepared and graded by the College Board in the United States.  The grade on this AP exam determines whether the student receives advanced placement or transfer credits at Canadian universities.
