Daily self-reported COVID cases at our school
Due to the continued prevalence of COVID-19 during the sixth wave, we will be providing a regular report of positive COVID-19 cases that were self-reported* to the school. *Public health officials no longer inform schools of positive cases. We will aim to provide this additional layer of reporting for a short time period to respond to increasing case counts in our communities.
The information will be shared on the school website on this post, which will be updated daily (Monday-Friday, holidays excluded).
We recognize that because schools and the school board are no longer receiving reports from public health officials when there is a positive case, and because self-reporting to the school is voluntary, the number of cases reported on the school website will not be an accurate reflection of the amount of COVID in the community.
Should you wish to self-report a positive COVID case to the school for your child(ren), please do so by contacting the school’s main office.
- Date updated: May 16, 2022
- Number of cases that were self-reported to the school on this date: 0
Daily School Absence Reporting
The UGDSB continues to report school absences on a daily basis, which allows us to monitor trends in absenteeism rates and gives us a better sense of the impact of COVID-19 on schools.
You can view the daily absences for our school, and see if our school goes above the 30% absenteeism threshold, here: https://www.ugdsb.ca/community/coronavirus/2021-22-school-operations/daily-absence-tracking-pilot/
As the next municipal elections approach on October 24, 2022, the Upper Grand District School Board is seeking nominations for school board trustees for the 2022-2023 school year. School Board Trustees have a big impact on shaping the education system for Upper Grand students. The UGDSB is looking for individuals who can ‘re-engage, re-fresh, and re-imagine’ the best education system for the students in our community.
The UGDSB is continuing to use the online report card system for the 2021-22 school year.
If you previously accessed our Electronic Report Card system this year, no action is required at this time. If your email address has changed, please contact your school office coordinator.
Registration for the 2022-23 Elementary Remote Program in the UGDSB is open from Monday May 30 to Friday June 10.
The 2022 Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) Annual Review Report was approved at the Board Meeting of the Upper Grand District School Board on May 24, 2022. This purpose of this report is to review updated data and any other changes affecting accommodation. It is necessary for staff to monitor the relevance of the Board’s work plan priorities. The LTAP review report also provides the status of the 5-year work plan priorities identified for 2018-2022.
The following board policy currently under review was released for public consultation: 312 – Website and Social Media Management
Public Health officials expect the sixth wave of COVID-19 to last for another several weeks, and we are asking for everyone’s help to get us through this latest wave.
