Admission and Registration
Online, pre-registration for the 2020-2021 school year will open on January 7, 2020. All Junior and Senior Kindergarten students who are new to the UGDSB must pre-register online at www.ugdsb.ca/jkregistration. Please visit your school office to submit your documentation and complete your registration. Kindergarten registration will occur January 7-17, 2020.
Parents/guardians applying to register their child for Junior Kindergarten French Immersion will need to contact your French Immersion school for information about program space and waiting lists. Please note that Junior Kindergarten is the only entry point into the French Immersion program in the UGDSB.

Four Kindergarten registration INFORMATION nights will take place in November and December 2019. You may attend any Information Night regardless of what school your child will attend. These are information nights only. Kindergarten registration will occur January 7-17, 2020.

Tuesday, November 26, 2019 – Ken Danby PS, 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, December 3, 2019 – Montgomery Village PS, 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday December 4, 2019 – John Black PS, 6:30 p.m.
Monday, December 9, 2019 – Arthur PS, 6:30 p.m.
Grade 1-8 Registration
For all other elementary school registration (i.e. Grades 1 to 8 students who are new to the UGDSB), please register your child for elementary school from Monday to Friday during regular school hours (stat holidays excluded).
Please register at your local school. To determine which school your child is eligible to attend, visit the UGDSB’s School Locator.
Parents and guardians are required to bring the following documents to complete registration:
- Proof of Age (e.g. Birth Certificate, Birth Registration Form, Baptismal Certificate, Canadian Citizenship/Permanent Resident Card, Passport, & custodial documents, if applicable)
- Immunization Record (Please submit directly to Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health)
- Proof of Address (e.g. utility/tax bill, purchase/lease agreement. A driver’s licence/cell phone bill/bank statement/credit card statement is not accepted.)
- Verification of date of arrival/immigration documents (if child was not born in Canada)
