2018-19 School Year

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year is from January 9-19, 2018.

NEW THIS YEAR: All Junior and Senior Kindergarten students who are new to the UGDSB must pre-register online during registration at www.ugdsb.ca/kindergarten.

Parents/guardians registering their child for Junior Kindergarten French Immersion must have completed the registration process by Jan. 19, 2018, at 4p.m. to be considered ‘on-time.’ Please note that Junior Kindergarten is the only entry point into the French Immersion program in the UGDSB.

Information Nights

The UGDSB will be hosting registration information evenings to share our new online registration process for both English and French Immersion JK and SK. Parents are welcome to attend any evening that suits them.

Grade 1-8 Registration

For all other elementary school registration (Grades 1 to 8 students) who are new to the UGDSB), please register your child for elementary school from Monday to Friday during regular school hours (stat holidays excluded).

Please register at your local school. You can find out which school you should attend at www.findmyschool.ca.

Parents and guardians are required to bring the following documents to complete registration:

  1. Birth certificate or Immigration papers
  2. Immunization Record card
  3. Proof of address (e.g.  utility/tax bill, bank statement, purchase/lease agreement)

Secondary Registration

To register your child at a UGDSB secondary school, please contact your school directly to set up an appointment.

2017-18 School Year

Elementary Regular Track

Parents and guardians may register their child for elementary school from Monday to Friday during regular school hours (stat holidays excluded).

Please register at your local school. You can find out which school you should attend at www.findmyschool.ca.

Parents and guardians are asked to bring the following documents to registration:

  1. Birth certificate or Immigration papers
  2. Immunization Record card
  3. Proof of address (e.g. utility/tax bill, bank statement, purchase/lease agreement)

Elementary French Immersion

Please note that each UGDSB elementary school that offers FI has a Junior Kindergarten enrolment cap as of September 2017. JK is the only entry point for French Immersion in Upper Grand. Entry into FI from other jurisdictions is possible if your child has previous FI experience. Check with the school for more detail.

Most schools for the 2017-18 school year are at their JK FI capacity. Please contact your specific home FI school for more information. Students not accepted into the FI program or placed on the waitlist must register for JK at their home Regular Track school.
