ESL Class Schedules

Day Classes

Monday to Friday
Foundation Literacy to CLB 9
9:00 am to 11:30 am
12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Late Afternoon Classes

Monday to Thursday
CLB 3 to CLB 6
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Night Classes

Monday and Wednesday
Foundation Literacy to CLB 9
6:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.


ESL and LINC Classes

September to June:
Day classes Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

July and August:
Day classes Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We offer many different levels of classes from Foundation Literacy to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 8. All classes study speaking, listening, reading, grammar and writing. A language test determines the level of class at which the learners begin to study.  Instructors give feedback on progress at the end of term.  Learners can register for the morning class or the afternoon class, or both classes.

September to June:

Late Afternoon Class Monday to Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A multi-level class (CLB 3 to CLB 6) in which you study listening, speaking, reading, grammar and writing. A language test is required before starting. Instructors give feedback on progress at the end of term.

September to August:

Night Classes Monday and Wednesday nights 6:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. We offer multi-level classes from Foundation Literacy to CLB 8. All classes study speaking, listening, grammar, reading and writing. A language test determines the level of class in which the learners begin to study. Instructors give feedback on progress at the end of the term.

Saturday Classes

Citizenship Class

Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Canadian Idioms and Expressions

CLB 3 (completed) to CLB 8 contact St. George’s Centre for ESL for start dates This course will improve understanding of common Canadian idioms and expressions used in conversation and the media. Learners will develop listening comprehension skills, increase understanding of the meaning of idioms and expressions, and practice using them in conversation and role play.
