At the October 29, 2024 Board meeting, the following policy items were approved: 

• Policy 216 - Communications

• Policy 300 - Emergency Procedures

• Policy 322 - Safe Operation of Schools and Board Sites 

  • NEW procedures 322-B address the use of security cameras

• Policy 521 - Admission and Registration 

  • NEW policy addresses the registration process for Regular English-language Track students and outlines how students may be able to register at a UGDSB school that is different than their designated home school or who reside outside the jurisdiction of the Upper Grand District School Board).

  • NEW procedures 521-A will outline the registration process for Out of Area (OOA) and Out of District (OOD) students to 'open' UGDSB schools. These procedures will be posted to the website by December 1.

The following policies were rescinded:

• Policy 203 - Video Surveillance

• Policy 501 - Out of Area and Out of District Attendance
