Halloween Cupcake Decorating
On October 30, Lori Furfaro from Baked Fresh bakery will be visiting the HFN10 (Period 1) and HFC3M (Period 2) classes to lead a workshop on cupcake decorating. During her visit, Lori will introduce students to the fundamentals of cupcake and cake decorating, including common techniques used in the industry.
This workshop aligns with the curriculum and includes a hands-on food lab component, providing students with practical experience and a deeper understanding of working in a kitchen environment.
We are looking forward to an engaging and educational session with Lori.
Exploring Indigenous Cuisine with Chef Destiny
On November 27, Chef Destiny, the founder and head chef of Foodzen, will be joining the Food and Culture class for a special culinary workshop. Chef Destiny is an Indigenous chef who will be sharing a traditional dish with the class, along with insights into its historical and cultural significance.
This workshop supports curriculum expectations through experiential learning, allowing students to engage in the preparation of the dish while deepening their understanding of its cultural roots and importance.
We look forward to welcoming Chef Destiny and providing students with this meaningful and educational experience.
