Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
As part of the Co-op Education Program, guest speakers sometimes come speak to students about career and pathway options or other topics such as health and safety.
On February 4, 2025 representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Labour will be discussing the Employment Standards Act and helping students better understand their rights as young employees. The presentation will take place in the school library.
Presentations such as these are an integral part of our students' understanding of the world of work when exploring post-secondary options. We encourage open discussions at home about the diverse opportunities available. Non JFR staff are required to complete a Volunteer Agreement 205-1 and Volunteer Form 205-2 prior to presentations taking place.
