We are pleased to inform you that our students at John F Ross CVI will have the exciting opportunity to participate in an upcoming guest speaker presentation. This event has been carefully planned to enrich their learning experience and connect classroom concepts to real-world applications. Below are the details of the event:
Date, Time and Location: Friday, May 30 9:05-10:25 am in Portable 2 & 10:32-11:43 am in Rm 201 or 247 & 2:05-3:20 pm in Rm 312
Title and Topic/Focus: The presentation “What’s Out There in the Skilled Trades and Technologies?” by Sebastian Roch from Skills Ontario will educate students on the hundreds of career opportunities available in the construction, motive power, service, industrial sectors, and the technologies.
Connections to the Curriculum and/or Purpose: This presentation is designed to enhance students' understanding of pursuing a career in the skilled trades.
Materials, Giveaways, or Literature: This presentation may provide further details about a career in the skilled trades via handouts, materials, giveaways, or literature which will serve as valuable resources to further engage and enhance the student’s awareness of pursuing a career in the skilled trades.
