We are pleased to inform you that our students at John F Ross CVI will have the exciting

opportunity to participate in an upcoming guest speaker presentation. This event has been

carefully planned to enrich their learning experience and connect classroom concepts to

real-world applications. Below are the details of the event:

Date, Time and Location: Wednesday, April 23, 9:05-10:25 am in Portable 2

Title and Topic/Focus: The presentation will focus on pursuing a career with the Guelph Police

Services. Speakers include Sergeant Tina Ryan, Professional Development and Recruiting Unit

and Ela Jurjevic who will answer any civilian questions that come up. Ela’s permanent role is

Human Resources at the Guelph Police Services.

Connections to the Curriculum and/or Purpose: This presentation is designed to enhance

students' understanding of pursuing a career with the Guelph Police Services and supports our

curriculum by allowing students to hear directly from a person with experience with the Guelph

Police Services.

Materials, Giveaways, or Literature: This presentation may provide further details about a

career with the Guelph Police Services via handouts, materials, giveaways, or literature which

will serve as valuable resources to further engage and enhance the student’s awareness of

pursuing a career with the Guelph Police Services.
