Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are pleased to inform you that our students at John F Ross CVI will have the exciting opportunity to participate in an upcoming guest speaker presentation. This event has been carefully planned to enrich their learning experience and connect classroom concepts to real-world applications. Below are the details of the event:
On May 30th, John F. Ross will welcome Alex Shull of the Wellington Paramedic Service for a special guest presentation in Room 201. As part of the Ontario Healthcare curriculum, this visit offers students a unique opportunity to explore real-world applications of their learning. Alex will share insights from his career as a paramedic in Guelph, detailing the challenges and rewards of working in emergency medical services. Additionally, he will speak about his recent experience serving on the front lines in Ukraine, offering a powerful perspective on global healthcare crises and frontline response. This presentation directly supports students’ understanding of emergency care, trauma response, and the critical role of healthcare professionals in both local and international contexts.
We are confident that this experience will provide valuable insights and inspire our students. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the event, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your support and for encouraging your child’s participation in these enriching opportunities.
Warm regards,
Paul Lydan
