Central PS Boundary Review

The board’s Planning Department is responsible for monitoring enrollment and accommodation needs for its schools on a regular basis. As part of this process, staff identified increased enrolment pressures at Central PS resulting in initiating a Boundary Review Process.

At the October 17, 2023 Finance & Facilities Committee Meeting, Trustees approved the staff recommendation to initiate the Central PS Boundary Review. It should be noted that the final approval of the commencement of the Boundary Review will occur at the Board Meeting on November 14, 2023. The Initial Report required an approval from Trustees prior to starting the public process and notifying the school communities in accordance with the Board’s Boundary Review policies and procedures.

Timeline:

  • November 14, 2023       Board Meeting – Decision to commence Boundary Review Process – Opportunity for Delegations
  • November 30, 2023       Public Information Session – Present Initial Boundary Review information – Gather feedback and answer questions
  • January 23, 2023           Finance & Facilities Meeting – Presentation of Final Boundary Review Report
  • February 13, 2023         Board Meeting – Decision related to Final Boundary Review Report – Opportunity for Delegations
  • 2024-25 School Year – Implementation of any boundary change
