From Arts to Athletics we have something for everyone to come out and be a part of the Varsity Reds family.


Clubs – Not Currently Running

Norwell is home to numerous clubs to keep our students active and involved.

Abound – Creating positive change Thursday’s at lunch in room 112! See Mrs.Cribbin for details.

Arts Council– Listen to announcements to know when we meet! Talk to Mrs.Spencer for more details.

Comic Book and Gaming Club – Take part in board games, card games (including Magic: The Gathering), role-playing, or to borrow titles from our comic book lending library. See Mr.Vaine for details.

Concert Band – Wednesdays at lunch in the music room with Ms.Murray. Let’s make music together! Support the school and local community through providing music for events and festivals.

DECA–  An international association of high school and college students and teachers of marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality, and marketing sales and service. Through written tests and oral case studies, the organization prepares leaders and entrepreneurs for careers and education in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and other business areas. Single Use PlasticsEco Club– .Raise student awareness about Eco issues in the school and community. Currently working on an awareness board on the second floor of the school including student made posters and eco facts.

Across the globe, there is a call to help stop the plastic crisis. On a personal level, we can help by using reusable shopping bags, refusing straws, using a travel mug at the coffee shop or packing litterless lunches.

French Club- Promote the love of French Language and Culture with games, food, language practice and fun. See Mme.Morgan or Mme.Smith for more details!

Garage Band– Bring your guitar, base, drums. Let’s jam! See Mr.Moore in Room 122 for details.

Interact– A charity group that raises money every month for a local cause and runs special activities a couple times a year, pie in the face/ spring bake sale to raise money for a global cause.

LINK– Senior students mentor junior students to encourage academic and social success at the high school level. See Mrs.Douglas or Mr.Radcliffe for more information.

Student Council – Leadership students work together to plan, promote and organize school/community events to enhance spirit at Norwell. Mondays at lunch in the business lab.


Late Bus – Not Currently Running

Norwell students are encouraged to “get involved” and stay at school until 4:45 on select dates to enjoy, engage and pursue your interests.

 

Buses will leave Norwell DSS at 4:45 and drop off at the following locations:

Maryborough P.S. at: 5:00pm

Drayton Heights P.S at: 5:15pm

Harriston Old Town Hall (back of building) 5:00pm

Clifford United Church: 5:15pm
