ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

I am writing to inform you that John F. Ross CVI is closed today due to an ongoing police investigation related to a reported threat against the school.

The school was placed in hold and secure early this morning as a precaution. Guelph Police are actively investigating the situation. Based on police direction, the school will remain closed to students and staff today.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our school community.

We will continue to work closely with police and will provide you with updates as more information becomes available. We are asking that students and staff shift to remote learning today, where possible.

We understand this may be concerning, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as police work to resolve the situation. The safety and well-being of students and staff remains our top priority.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Chad Warren, Principal
