We are currently seeking public input on Policy 518 - Students with Life-Threatening Medical Conditions.
This policy conveys the board’s commitment to supporting students with prevalent medical conditions, such as asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes and epilepsy, to ensure they have full access to school in a safe, inclusive, and healthy environment. This includes fostering well-being and empowering students to manage their medical needs to the best of their ability.
To review the draft documents and provide feedback, visit the UGDSB website: https://www.ugdsb.ca/o/ugdsb/page/policy-518-students-with-life-threatening-medical-conditions

Playground Update
Following an annual playground inspection by the Board, two areas of our playground—the swings and the log jam—did not meet safety requirements. As a result, these areas will be closed until repairs or alterations can be made. Please know that this decision was made with student safety as the top priority.
In the meantime, students will continue to have access to our other play spaces. Administration will be working closely with School Council to create a plan of action to address the situation and ensure that these play areas can be safely reopened as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to keep our playground safe for everyone.
