Remembrance Day

We remember the sacrifices of our local veterans each November at Wellington Heights through the display of white crosses and poppies on the front lawn of the school.  Organized by teacher, Mr. Kivell, and his students, the display of crosses includes the name of a local veteran on each cross who died in war for our country.  Mr. Kivell and Mr. Forsyth also organize our annual Remembrance Day event, which will be a school-wide virtual assembly, that will include a moment of silence at 11:00am on Friday, November 10th.  We also recognize Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8th, which is a day specifically to honour all Indigenous people who have served in the Canadian Arme
