Tracy Cain Shares “Black Canadian History – The Untold Stories”

Posted April 18, 2024

On Monday, April 15th, Wellington Heights welcomed guest speaker, Ms. Tracy Cain to speak to all Wolverines.  Ms. Cain brought together her passion and purpose in her educational, interactive, and music-filled presentation of “Black Canadian History – The Untold Stories.”  Wolverines were entertained, as Ms. Cain took students on a musical journey they won’t soon forget!  She shared stories of her ancestors who used the underground railroad to escape slavery in the southern United States, and settle in the Queen’s Bush area near Elmira and Drayton.  Students learned about Black Pioneers in our local community, and were impressed by Ms. Cain’s beautiful singing voice and the stories of her ancestors.
