Lunches Start this Week
If you ordered pizza through School Cash Online for Term One, deliveries will begin this Tuesday.
Lunchbox orders also start this week! Please remember that the deadline to order for the upcoming week is Sunday at noon. Families can order subs (Wednesday) or Harvey’s (Friday) directly through Lunchbox (via school cash online).

JD Three - Week of September 15 - 19
Pizza Orders - The deadline to order pizza is Wednesday, September 17th. If you want your child(ren) to have pizza this term, you must order before the deadline. If you miss ordering, you will have to wait until January’s order.
Grad Hoodies - School cash online opened today to purchase grad hoodies. Orders are due September 30th. No late orders will be accepted so don’t delay!
Hot Lunch Days - They’re back! If you’re new to the school, we are very fortunate to have Mr. Gordon and his Grade ⅞ class prepare lunch free of charge to our school. Students will follow the schedule posted on our website and have the option to have a fresh salad OR hot lunch on your classes scheduled day. Please send a container AND utensil on your child’s lunch day. We do not hand out utensils for students who forget! If you would like to give back to our snack program so we are able to continue to provide this option to our students, you can donate through school cash online. Any contribution big or small is greatly appreciated.

Report Cards - Report cards will be available on Tuesday, June 24th. If you have trouble accessing your child’s report card, please refer to the digital support information below. Digital Support for Accessing Report Cards - The Upper Grand District School Board offers an online parent portal called Parent ConnectED. Through this portal, parents and guardians can access their children’s report cards digitally. To support families with access and any technical challenges, the UGDSB has created a Parent ConnectED support website. Principal Announcement - As many are aware, Tracy Baker will be retiring at the end of the year. We wish her all the best in this next chapter and we’re pleased to announce that Darren Hale, the current principal at Palmerston Public School, will be joining us as the new principal of JD Hogarth in September. Darren brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student success, and we’re excited to welcome him to our school community. We’re also happy to share that our current Vice Principal, Nathan Adams, will be continuing in his role. First Rider Program - The First Rider Program returns on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, offering students and their families a chance to learn about school bus safety—and even enjoy a short ride! EQAO Assessment Dates - If you have a child in Grade 3 or 6, please try to avoid booking appointments, etc. on the following dates. Grade 6 - May 26 and 27 Grade 3 - June 3 and 4 Intermediate Track and Field - Due to the rain this week, Intermediate Track and Field has been moved to Tuesday, May 27th. Grade 7s will do Track and Field in the morning and then leave for Swim to Survive in the afternoon. Vaccine Clinic - Public Health is returning to provide the second doses of Grade 7 vaccines on Monday, May 26th. If you have questions regarding these vaccines, please contact Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health at 1-800-265-7293 ext. 7006 to speak with a public health nurse.

Yearbooks for Sale - Yearbooks are still available on School Cash Online for $15. The ordering window will close on Wednesday, May 21. Late orders will not be accepted.
