Winter Walk Day may be over, but there's still plenty of time to walk or wheel to school this winter.
Walking and wheeling to school is good for the environment, supports children’s health, and helps them connect with their neighbourhood. This February, ask your kids what they enjoy most about their school journey! #WinterWalk&Wheel Month.

We’re only a few weeks away from February, which is Black History Month. Black History Month is a time when people across Canada learn about and honour the history, achievements, and contributions of Black Canadians and their communities. Throughout the month, we will celebrate Black excellence, learn from history, and reflect on how we can continue to act, today and into the future. We’ll start with a look at the Canadian perspective, then throughout February we’ll dig into the work being done in the UGDSB.

Dear Salem Families,
We want to make you aware that we are currently experiencing an issue with our sewage system, which is temporarily preventing us from flushing toilets. Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure students remain comfortable, we are asking families to pick up their children as soon as they are able.
All students are safe, supervised, and well‑supported in the building while we work through this situation. We will continue to update you throughout the day.
Thank you for your understanding and partnership as we address the issue.
