Updated Procedure to Report an Absence

In order to streamline our system, we are asking that whenever possible, please email centennial.cvi@ugdsb.on.ca in advance to report a full day or planned absence or have your student bring a note to the main office.

 When emailing, please:

• Include your student's full name in the subject line

• State the grade and date/period(s) of absence in the message.

Attendance emails are checked regularly throughout the school day.

Alternatively, for now, you can leave a message by calling the school and leaving a voicemail at extension #100, these messages will be checked less frequently as we phase this method out.

If your student needs to be signed out early, kindly provide sufficient notice before dismissal time so we can minimize classroom disruptions.

If you need to pick up your student unexpectedly, please call the school and press 0 to speak directly with the main office.

Sign-Out Privileges for Students Over 18

Students who are 18 years of age or older can sign out for themselves.

Inclement Weather & Bus Cancellations

If you receive a message that buses are cancelled, please do not call the main office and report an absence.
