Class of 2023 – 2024
As the month of May approaches, we would like to ensure you are aware of the events occurring for the Class of 2024. This is a very exciting and often stressful time for students. Here are some things to be aware of:
● Community Involvement Hours Graduation Requirement – All graduating students should submit this requirement by May 1. Forms are available in Student Services, the main office and online. If students require help completing the form they can check in with a guidance counselor.
● Online Learning Graduation Requirement – Students are required to earn 2 eLearning credits to graduate from Secondary School. If your student has not completed this requirement, there is an Opt-Out form they can submit with no academic penalties towards their graduation. Please submit this form no later than May 1st. Students can find this form online or in Student Services.

Hockley Valley Resort Tickets are $55 and available through School CashOnline. Permission forms and seating request forms available from Ms Gullace in room 122. All food allergies/restrictions should be made known to Ms. Gullace. All payments, forms and seating requests are due May 1st. Prom, like all school events, is subject to the student Code of Conduct and students must adhere |
| June 27 Commencement | Commencement will take place on Thursday June 27th at Westside Secondary School. There will be 4 ceremony time slots available to choose from. Ceremony sessions are being held at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm & 7pm. To book a time slot please call the school at 519-938-9355 ext#225 & leave a message with the name and spelling of your graduating student, the time slot you would like to attend, any special considerations (accessibility issues i.e. wheelchair, walker, low vision etc.) & how many guests will be attending with the graduate. Please note, due to capacity, each graduate can only bring 3 guests to the ceremony. If there is a discrepancy with your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. Once we have received the required information, your time slot will be confirmed & a reminder email will be sent out a week prior to the event.
