Each year the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) conducts the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT). This provincial test measures the performance of grade 10 students on the reading and writing expectations in all subjects up to and including grade 9.
Successful completion of the OSSLT is a graduation requirement. This semester the test is being administered between November 17th and 18th for all eligible grade 10 students. Your child can speak to their home form teacher for more details. CCVI would like to invite all grade tens to register for the upcoming Pass the Test Program. This program is offered after school to any interested grade ten students who would like additional preparation for the literacy test. Please visit the CCVI website for more info and for the registration forms. All students should register by Friday, October 9.
