The Learning Disabilities Association of Wellington County (LDAWC) is running an event called Transitioning to Post-Secondary. The event is led by two occupational therapists with 30 years of experience supporting post-secondary students. The event is an insightful and practical talk for parents of students with IEP's navigating the transition to post-secondary education. The talk will explore the academic accommodation process in post-secondary education, introduce strategies to support the transition, and help students through the ups and downs of their first year. There will also be a discussion of the steps parents can take to help students prepare for the journey. There will be time for questions.
