INCLEMENT WEATHER: A reminder that, as with every winter, inclement weather conditions may result in bus cancellations and/or school closures. Decisions on buses and school operations due to inclement weather are made as soon as key information is available and no later than 6:30am the morning of. To check the status of school buses each morning visit www.stwdsts.ca, and to check the status of school closures visit www.ugdsb.ca.
DAILY SCHOOL ABSENCE REPORT: The UGDSB is reporting daily on school absence rates, allowing us to monitor absenteeism rates and transparently share this information with the public. To view the dashboard, click here.
The UGDSB is continuing to use the online report card system for the 2021-22 school year.
If you previously accessed our Electronic Report Card system this year, no action is required at this time. If your email address has changed, please contact your school office coordinator.
There is currently no water operational at Ponsonby Public School. Maintenance staff are on site and are investigating the issue.
The 2022 Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) Annual Review Report was approved at the Board Meeting of the Upper Grand District School Board on May 24, 2022. This purpose of this report is to review updated data and any other changes affecting accommodation. It is necessary for staff to monitor the relevance of the Board’s work plan priorities. The LTAP review report also provides the status of the 5-year work plan priorities identified for 2018-2022.

Public Health officials expect the sixth wave of COVID-19 to last for another several weeks, and we are asking for everyone’s help to get us through this latest wave.
We were notified Tuesday evening that our school does not have running water at this time. Board staff will be onsite first thing tomorrow morning to address the issue, however the school will likely be without water for the majority of the school day. As such, Ponsonby PS students are asked to shift to remote learning for Wednesday March 23. Staff and educators will support students through their Google Classroom environment.
