Daily School Absence Reporting

We know how important quick access to information and data is to families, students and staff.  The UGDSB is reporting daily on school absence rates, allowing us to monitor absenteeism rates and transparently share this information with the public. 

This reporting is in addition to the numerous proactive health and safety measures in place to help ensure safe, accepting and inclusive learning and working environments. 

How it Works

• The UGDSB will post absenteeism data daily, by school, from Monday to Friday on this webpage. The data displayed below will show a percentage increase or decrease from each school’s baseline. This baseline was created by using the attendance data from the 2023-2024 school year.
• The data is calculated using TOTAL absences at a school that day; it does not parse out the possible reasons why an individual may be absent.
• In looking through the daily data, it is important to look at the trendlines for each school.
