Hi everyone,
I’m happy to share that all staff and students have safely re-entered WSS. We’re grateful to the fire technician for arriving so quickly to reset the panel and to the Alder St. Arena staff for their support.
Students were respectful and patient throughout, and we’re very pleased with how well everyone responded. Period 3 will resume at 1:00 p.m. to allow staff and students time for lunch.
Thank you,
Janine Grin
Principal

Good afternoon,
WSS has been evacuated due to a false fire alarm. Custodial and maintenance staff are currently unable to reset the panel and are awaiting the arrival of a fire technician. Staff and students are at Alder St. Arena, staying warm and dry until the alarm can be silenced.
We will continue to keep the community updated.
Thank you

⚾️ WORLD SERIES COMMUNITY WATCH PARTY ⚾️

The Toronto Blue Jays are officially headed to the World Series for the first time since 1993 - and we’re celebrating together!

📍 Mill Street, Orangeville
📅 Friday, October 24th - GAME 1
🕖 Pre-game coverage starts at 7:00 PM | First pitch at 8:00 PM

Bring your chair (no picnic tables this time!) and dress warmly (from past experience I recommend long johns, toques, mitts, and a warm blanket!) - we’re closing down Mill Street and setting up a big screen so we can cheer as one community.

🍔 Food & Drinks will be available from Taphouse Craft Beer + Kitchen (alcoholic drinks must stay on their property).

💙 Admission is FREE – but please consider bringing a non-perishable food donation for the Orangeville Food Bank.

📅 SAVE THE DATE: If the series goes to a Game 7 on November 1st, we’ll do it all again for one more unforgettable night!

✨ Sports have a way of bringing people together – let’s celebrate the Jays, our town, and the power of community spirit.

One Community. One Team. One Big Screen.

💙⚾️ Let’s Go Blue Jays! ⚾️💙
