COVID 19-CASE, SUNDAY APRIL 4TH, 2021

Hello GCVI Families,

Public Health has notified us that an individual in our school has tested positive for COVID-19.  As a result, two cohorts have been asked to stay at home while Public Health does contact tracing.

Public Health has already initiated their contact tracing protocols and a case manager will call any high-risk contacts and give them direction.  The school remains open.

It is important to note that the case reported today was connected in the community and NOT a school transmission.

We recognize that this news may cause some concern, but we want to assure you that we are following all directives from the Public Health Unit.

Additional cleaning will be done at the school, as part of the COVID Protection Protocols.

For further information please read the Public Health letter that is attached or visit the Wellington Dufferin Guelph (WDG) Public Health Unit website:    wdgpublichealth.ca
