Take Our Kids to Work Day – Wednesday Nov. 1st.

Take our Kids to Work Day is a Students Commission of Canada career exploration initiative where Grade 9 students spend the day (on November 1, 2023) in the life of a working professional. This year’s theme is Everyone Belongs Here!

Take Our Kids to Work Day is a great opportunity for Canadian students in grade 9 to explore career options in a fun and engaging way.

Grade 9 students within the Upper Grand District School Board will be accompanying their parent/guardian or relative/family friend to work on November 1, 2023 to learn about the various career opportunities available to them and those students coming to work with UGDSB staff will learn about the many opportunities in public education.

Below you will find the Upper Grand District School Board Letter to Parents/guardians and Parental/guardian Consent Form and the Student Commission of Canada’s Resource Guides and Draft Agenda.

We ask all grade 9 students participating in Take our Kids to Work Day to return to their homeroom teacher by Oct. 30th.

Students not participating in Take Our Kids to Work Day will attend school.
