Senate

Today marks the beginning of Earth week! As such, a great competition is in store, which is as follows: the goal is to be the most sustainable homeroom class. Whenever you do any sustainable acts, you can take a picture of yourself doing it and either send it to the GCVI Senate instagram with @gcvisenate or you can submit it through the google form that will be emailed to you. When you make a submission, include your name, your homeroom teacher’s name, and of course, the picture! Sustainable acts include carpooling, which is one point, taking public transit, which is 2 points, walking or biking, which is also 2 points, picking up garbage, which is 5 points, and bringing a litterless lunch to school, meaning a zero-waste lunch, which is 7 points. The winning class will get a pizza party, so make sure you get those points! For more information, check out Senate Instagram. Together, we can make GCVI a more sustainable school! Go gaels!
