Art Council
Attention all youth artists aged 12-24! Guelph Youth Council is excited to announce our upcoming art showcase featuring talented young artists from our community. Join us to support the arts and creativity in Guelph on Friday, May 3rd at the West End Rec Centre’s gymnasium. To submit your art, scan the QR code on the posters around the school and drop-off schedules will be emailed to you after submission. Don’t forget to check out our art club every other Friday in room 16 for more opportunities to get involved in the arts. See you there!
GSA
Are you interested in history? Law? 2SLBGTQIA+ legal history? The GSA is having a guest speaker today who worked on many of the supreme court cases involving 2SLGBTQIA+ rights in Canada. She currently works as a judge for the Ontario Superior Court. Come to room 213 at the start of lunch today. All are welcome!
D-Stress
Hello Gaels! Are you trying to find a fun way to celebrate Earth Week at GCVI? Then you should join D-Stress in making seed bombs! This Thursday at lunch, come to room 54 to seed bombs while learning about the benefits of plants for your mental health. If you are interested in participating, make sure you fill in the Google form on the D-Stress classroom with the code vw7f5h6. There are limited spots available so sign up ASAP.

SASH is meeting today in room 206! Make sure to come out and let us know what you want to see at our upcoming events!
Grad Committee
Hey Grads! Prom is quickly approaching and tickets are now available on school cash online until the end of the week for GCVI students! So if you want to skip the line, and get your tickets cashless, secure a spot today online!
Starting Monday and ending Tuesday next week, tickets will be for sale at lunch and after school for those wanting to use cash, or purchase tickets for out of school guests. So, plan ahead grads, and get your tickets either online this week, or in person at the start of next week! Don’t forget to bring your permission forms in too! Can’t wait to see you all at the Italian Canadian Club!
Senate – Earth Week
To show some love for our wonderful planet this Earth Week, tomorrow will be Green and Blue shirt day! As such, make sure to come to school tomorrow in all your vibrant Earth colours. Let’s continue our work to make GCVI a sustainable school!
Football
There will be a brief football meeting tomorrow, Wednesday April 24th in room 15 at the beginning of lunch. This is for anyone interested in junior football or football training. If you have any questions please see Mr. Crabbe or Mr. Katsube.

Today you have a chance to try your hand at the Speed Sort in the back of the Caf – how quickly can you get the material into the right trash / recycle or reuse container?
