March 31, 2016

GUELPH, Ontario – Each year, top-performing students from across Canada compete for a spot at SHAD, a month-long summer program that focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

This year, 12 students from Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute were accepted to the 2016 summer program.

These students will spend the month of July studying at various Canadian universities, including the University of British Columbia, Carleton University, Dalhousie University and McMaster University.

SHAD is a registered charity based in Waterloo, Ontario. It works to empower exceptional high school students, shaping the leaders and change makers of tomorrow.

Each year, more than 600 students from across Canada are accepted to the program. Students live in-residence at one of SHAD’s host universities, experiencing life on campus, while learning in a challenging yet supportive environment.

Congratulations to CCVI’s students, Ally, Jessica, Grace, Brandon, Marissa, Claire, Anish, Bassil, Nikhil, Cathy, Rachel and Yili.
