Alma PS students win silver in Lego Mechanics at Skills Ontario

GUELPH, Ontario – Students from Alma Public School have captured silver at the provincial skills competition.
The school’s team placed second in the Junior Lego Mechanics event at the elementary Ontario Technological Skills Competition (OTSC) this week.
The team consisted of students Wesley, Kent, Brodie and Jonathan, who attended the competition at RIM Park in Waterloo.
The competition allowed students to showcase their skills in mechanical design and construction, problem solving and their knowledge of reading, drawing, building Lego models and presentation skills.
Teams were tested on group work, their illustrations, discussion of ideas, relations to case study, overall presentation and problem solving.
