Awards to celebrate students who overcame adversity to achieve academic goals

GUELPH, Ontario – This June, the Upper Grand District School Board will celebrate the successes of students who have overcome life challenges to achieve their goals.
The “Achieving by Believing” awards presentation will be held on Tues. June 7 at Centre Wellington District High School in Fergus.
The awards honour students from across the district facing challenges, adversity and/or socio-economic issues and were at risk of not graduating from high school.
Students, teachers, principals and family members will be on hand to see the awards presented and the tributes to the students by their teachers.
The awards will be presented ahead of the UGDSB Program Committee meeting, which will be held at CWDHS.
