Hundreds of students to attend Your Future, Your Choice career fair

For Immediate Release
November 8, 2016

GUELPH, Ontario – Next week, hundreds of students in grades 7 to 12 will be attending Your Future, Your Choice, an annual career fair held by the Career Education Council of Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin (CEC).

More than 500 students in the Upper Grand and Wellington Catholic District School Boards will attend, along with their parents and teachers. Your Future, Your Choice helps students gain insight and make informed decisions about their future education, training and potential career pathways.

Students will have the opportunity to tour more than 80 displays and meet with local employers, educators and community representatives. It’s a chance for youth to get questions answered about the multitude of pathways available to them, throughout high school and into the workplace, including high school programs, apprenticeship opportunities, training, co-op, volunteering and more.

Your Future, Your Choice will be held on Wednesday Nov. 16 at Centennial CVI in Guelph from 6 to 8 p.m.

The CEC is a local charity dedicated to providing youth with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration and skill development.
