Tour for Humanity bus stops at Centre Peel

Tour for Humanity bus

The Tour for Humanity bus, sponsored by the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center, as seen during a stop at the Upper Grand board office earlier this year. The interior is outfitted with seating for multi-media presentations.

The Tour for Humanity Bus visited grades 4/5 and high school students at Centre Peel PS and Centre Peel SS on December 17.

Presentations on “The Canadian Experience” for the older students and “The Happy Workshop” for grades 4 and 5 highlighted this unique on-site, multi-media learning opportunity. Conversation, reflection, making connections and dialogue was sparked back in the classrooms.

The Tour for Humanity Bus supports the school’s Bullying and Prevention Plan, and the Safe, Equitable and Inclusive Schools Strategy. Students are already asking if the bus can come back next year.
