Aberfoyle PS students compete in the Optimist International Oratorical Contest

PUSLINCH, Ontario – Students from Aberfoyle Public School competed in the district Optimist International Oratorical Contest on April 12. The purpose of the contest is to inspire youth to motivate and inform others through public speaking.

Prior to last night’s competition, the Aberfoyle PS students competed in the school and club level competitions before advancing to the district competition.

Students aged 10 to 18 competed for the title. Students competing were from Puslinch, Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Flamborough.

Aberfoyle PS students Liam and Colin bravely presented their speeches to the Optimist members from all of the zone regions.

Liam received an honourable mention from judges and Colin placed third in the competition.

Congratulations Colin and Liam for this amazing achievement.
